Most children in Uganda are not given the chance and opportunity for an education without an education it is almost impossible to get any sort of job in this country. Children Missions Charity Organization believes in order for change to take place, we must be proactive and educate the youths. Giving them opportunity to see a brighter future and possibility in obtaining their dreams. For that We remain committed to tailoring everything we do to the best interests of the children based on their individual needs. Through our sponsorship program, we collaborate with the Ugandan government to offer support and education for children who may have experienced death of a parent, abuse, trafficking, abandonment, neglect, or extreme poverty. WHY SCHOLARSHIP?
Since 2014, We have learned about an epidemic present in Uganda that still exists today. Oftentimes, parents and/or guardians are forced to give up on their children welfare simply because they’re unable to provide the most basic needs for their children: Food, Medical Care, and Education. When you sponsor a Child you help us create an environment where all vulnerable children can know they are loved and care for to develop to their full God-given potential.

You continue to Build a relationship throughout the year by writing letters, sending and receiving updated pictures and videos of your sponsor child, and learning about your sponsor child’s academic progress.

Today. Over 400 scholarship applications have been constantly received by the Children Missions Charity Organization from different families in different districts of Uganda. Different guardians and their children physically approach CMCO for help. In Uganda, most orphaned children are as a result of Death of a parent due to AIDS/ HIV among other diseases, Abuse, abandonment, neglect, accidents and wars. Moreover, with rampant poverty, these orphans can’t care for themselves. Old people well above 68years are often left to care them, these two are helpless. Non HIV/AIDS orphans are equally vulnerable children who need to be helped. These children, apart from failure to raise school fees (tuitions) are also unable to meet their basic needs, food, shelter, medical care, sanitary towel for mature girls and even company.

STUDENT SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM
We partner with parents New Hope Primary School and among others in Uganda to
make education possible for children. Families pay 15% of a student’s fees, and we
pay 85%. Parents are also responsible for becoming more involved in their children’s
education through our parents’ committees. To date, over 50 students have been
sponsored from the primary to higher institutions. The majority of sponsored students
are girls, who are disproportionately denied access to education.
We expanded our student sponsorship program into the rural south western Uganda
with the help of the sponsors like you.
An educational fund of $5,000 can help 25 students access to education per year.
